Committees and their roles

Committee name Role
Instruction Committee Holds training sessions that meet the needs of educational institutions on topics such as the state of public health nurse education and specific teaching methods in order to improve faculty skills (teaching, research, and management skills).
Curriculum Committee Conducts any and all program-related activities from curriculum creation to selection of class content and teaching methods, organization, and evaluation in a flexible manner responding to whatever needs member schools may have at a given time.
Education System Committee Works to enhance and improve the educational system and environments by conducting research on educational programs and evaluating and accrediting educational programs; and examines the best way to structure the educational system and lobbies the national government.
National Examination Committee Reviews questions on the national examination, conducts regular inspections of the testing environment, and makes suggestions to the Ministry of Health, Labour and Welfare with the goal of evaluating public health nurse education and ensuring the quality of that education through the national examination.
Public Relations and International Affairs Committee Shares information in real time through promotional materials, the website, and the email newsletter and collects and shares international information.
Editorial Committee Edits and publishes an online Journal as the official publication of the JAPHNEI to collect information about committee and regional block activities and promote members’ professional development.
